Charles Amar is a Partner & Head of EU Practice at Athipa Law Firm. Prior to joining the firm, he practiced at several premier international law firms and leading regional practices, including Linklaters, Paul Hastings, SJ Berwin, Wragge & Co, Franklin, Bun & Associates, and DFDL.

Admitted to the Paris Bar for almost 20 years, Mr. Amar possesses extensive expertise across all facets of real estate law, with a particular emphasis on real estate investment, project development, construction, asset management, and hospitality. He regularly counsels domestic and international clients on high-stakes, complex property transactions at both the planning and development stages. In addition, he frequently advises real estate developers and global hotel operators on the acquisition, development, sale, and management of hospitality assets across Europe and Cambodia.

Beyond private practice, Mr. Amar was previously a Professor of Construction Law at the Royal University of Law and Economics in Phnom Penh and Vice-Chairman of the EuroCham Real Estate & Construction Committee. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Cambodia–Israel Chamber of Commerce.
